Hi there,
Just FYi – some of these places (Bled, Gamla Stan, Ceskzy Krumlov) are more like towns than villages…Great post otherwise 🙂

What qualifies as a village? Cesky Krumlov is a small city. Gamla Stan is a part of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden…Bled is the seat of the municipality of Bled.

Jossy thank you for the info , we have named this post as a villages because all these places are small , but with amazing architecture and natural view , some of them are UNESCO World Heritage Site. We hope that we are not doing something wrong sharing this beauties.

Best Regards

I am sorry but most of these just do not qualify for a village and are not villages. Mostar is a “village” with over 150.000 citizens. What, is amazing architecture only limited to villages? I really don’t get your point. You could have easily used the term “places” or something similar. “Thank you Maria , yes it really looks like towns but they are vilages but with really amazing architecture” Wow they look like towns? Guess what, THEY ARE.
A village is a clustered human settlement or community, larger than a hamlet but smaller than a town, with a population ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand (sometimes tens of thousands). Often in rural areas.

#20 Mostar,
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a town with more than 100.000 citizens which makes it
one of the largest in the country and also the unofficial capital of
Herzegovina. For the rest of the world it might seem small, but for us it is definitely
not a village.

Veliko Tarnovo is not a village! It’s one of the largest cities in Bulgaria and number 1 tourist destination to visit in our country.

Nice…. but the photos are retouched. WHY not just show “real” photos?
