Hierve el Agua-Waterfall, Frozen In Time And Space

It is a view that if you observe from afar, you get the impression that it is quite plain waterfall … If you get closer and closer, you think that it is frozen waterfall, but even when you get to this amazing place, you will realize that this rock is much more spectacular than what you expected.

“Hierve El Agua” is a stunning rock formation rather than mineral deposits that are found on a mountain in Oaxaca in Mexico. On top of the mountain are two natural freshwater ponds known for its medicinal properties, and several sources filled with calcium carbonate and magnesium.Over time, water rich in minerals, but spill on over the edge of the pool, slowly creating the natural formation that we see today, “Hierve El Agua”, unusual rock that looks like a waterfall 50 meters high.
