Travel back to the ancient Roman Empire at the Aspendos Theater. Located only twenty-five miles away from the modern city of Antalya, this hot spot is a must on all Turkey Tours.
This cultural World Heritage Site is one of the best-preserved theaters of its kind. Built during the rule of Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius, this infamous theater could seat between 15,000 to 20,000 people.
Don’t miss one of the most popular tourist attractions in Turkey, the International Ballet and Opera Festival. It’s performed at the theater only once a year around late spring or early summer.
