It’s Christmas coming soon, and the festive atmosphere is already everywhere around us. In order to have the best and most delicious Christmas ever, we are presenting you some decorative and very tasty easy to prepare Christmas desserts. Read the recipes below and prepare any of them for the biggest holiday in the year.
1. Snowman Christmas cookies
You need 200g / 7oz self raising flour, 100g / 3oz caster sugar, 100g / 3oz butter, plus extra for greasing, 1 large free-range egg, lightly beaten and 1 tsp vanilla extract to prepare these delicious Christmas cookies. For the decorations you will need white and blue fondant icing, white and black writing icing, sprinkles and 48 small chocolate balls. First heat the oven. Mix flour and sugar in a bowl, then stir in butter. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until soft. Make small pieces of dough in a round shape and place in a greased baking dish and bake for about 10-12 minutes. Once cooled, decorate them with whipped cream and decorations of your choice.
2.Reindeer Christmas cupcakes
To prepare this recipe you need 125g / 4½oz butter, softened, 175g / 6oz caster sugar, 2 free-range eggs, 200g / 7oz self raising flour, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 100ml / 3½fl oz milk, 100g / 3oz dark chocolate ( 70% cocoa solids), melted and 2 tbsp Irish cream liqueur (optional). For the chocolate icing you will need 50g dark chocolate, chopped, 3 tbsp double cream And to decorate you will need giant chocolate buttons, crisp-coated chocolates (such as Smarties or M & Ms), mini pretzels, black writing icing and mini marshmallows, sliced. at 170 degrees. Mix butter and sugar together until creamy. Add the eggs and combine. Then add the flour and cocoa to this mixture. Add the resulting mixture to a muffin pan and bake for about 25 minutes. Remove muffins from the mold and allow to cool. In another bowl of low heat melt the chocolate. Apply melted chocolate on muffins.
3. Christmas mini-muffins
This recipe requires 200g / 7oz self-raising flour, sifted, 100g / 3oz golden caster sugar, 100ml / 3oz oz sunflower oil, 75ml / 2oz oz milk, 1 large free-range egg, 50g / 1oz qood quality dark chocolate, chopped, 1 heaped tbsp high quality mincemeat, 50g / 1oz good quality white chocolate, chopped and 50g / 1¾oz dried (or fresh) cranberries. First, warm the oven to 190 degrees. Then start preparing the muffins. In a bowl, mix flour and sugar. In another bowl mix oil, milk and egg and add to flour. Divide the mixture into two parts. Put cocoa in one, white chocolate and cranberry in the other. Mix gently. Place the muffins into the mix and bake for 20 minutes.
4. Christmas cake pops
Requires 400g / 14oz Christmas cake, 100g / 3oz dark chocolate, 100g / 3oz white chocolate and sprinkles, to decorate. Chop the Christmas cake into small pieces and place in a blender. From the mixture form 12 ball-shaped shapes. Refrigerate for several hours to firm the mixture. Then melt the chocolate in another bowl. Soak the forms in the chocolate. Allow them to cool for about 1 hour. Decorate with decorative New Year sparkles.
5. Snowman cupcakes
For this snowman cupcakes you will need 200g / 7oz caster sugar, 175g / 6oz plain flour, 50g / 1oz cocoa powder, 1½ tsp baking powder, sp tsp bicarbonate of soda, pinch salt, 100ml / 3oz oz sunflower oil, 2 large free-range eggs, 2 tbsp soured cream and 125ml / 4fl oz boiling water.Mix all ingredients listed in a bowl.
