Sutherland Falls in New Zeland

Sutherland Waterfalls are located in New Zealand’s Fiordland National Park, near Milford Sound. It has a steep incline and is one of the world’s tallest waterfalls. The water falls in three cascades: the upper cascade is 229 meters (751 feet) tall, the middle cascade is 248 meters (813 feet) tall, and the lower cascade is 103 meters (338 feet) tall. The total vertical drop of this waterfall is 580 meters. Sutherland Falls is supplied by Lake Quill. It’s a small round lake that sits in a small granite basin produced by ice-action during the Ice Age and pours almost vertically down a mountain face into a valley.
