But dear friend in the last two weeks i have bought almost 6 watermelons and only one was by my taste i mean only one was ripe. So i have decided to search a bit and i have found absolutely amazing and very useful tips how to pick up the perfect watermelon and it really works. Take a look below and enjoy!
Look for the field spot
Yellow spot is a field spot and it is a place where the watermelon rested on ground, And you should know that the ripe watermelons always have creamy yellow or even orange-yellow spots.
Look for ’webbing’
These weblike brown spots on the watermelon mean that bees touched the pollinating parts of the flower many times. The more pollination, the sweeter the fruit is.
’Boy’ and ’girl’ watermelons
’boys’ are bigger, have an elongated shape, and a watery taste. The ’girls’ have a rounded shape and are very sweet.
Pay attention to the size
Select an average-sized fruit. And note: large or small, the watermelon should feel heavy for its size.
Inspect the tail
A dried tail indicates that the watermelon is ripe.
